Over 3,000 hours of handwork went into producing this collection, celebrating tradition and technique for the modern woman.
Imagine stepping into a world of a purple orchid at La Koradior. At the heart of this collection is the orchid itself embodying the strength and passion of modern women. Picture this exquisite flower dancing gracefully with the wind.
At the break of dawn, the morning dew remains on the petals glistening under the soft sunlight. These pearls reflect our tender moments, creating a stunning visual symphony. Moving through life with grace adapting to changes and transitions. As light and shadow play against the gradient colour of the petals, they echo the soft transitions of dawn and dusk in a blooming garden.
Victoria drew inspiration from the butterfly orchid, exploring its natural elegance and form. The collection was woven together with exquisite bead embroidery, employing French crochet techniques to embellish thousands of beads to vividly depict natural forms.
The butterfly orchid was referenced through the elegant curves and flow of cut and silhouette; the colour palette incorporated soft purple, gold, white, and black, symbolising the different stages of an orchid’s life and a woman’s emotional depth; bead embroidery presented the delicate texture of the petals, transforming nature’s beauty into wearable art; the gowns exhibited fluidity when worn, mirroring the orchid’s swaying movement in the breeze and embodying the elegance and confidence of modern women; from the voluminous sleeves to the naturally flowing train, every detail conveyed the vitality and unique beauty of the butterfly orchid.
