A JOURNEY OF REDISCOVERY
– 30 YEARS OF SHANGHAI TANG –
In her role as Director of Arts, Culture & Heritage for Shanghai Tang, Victoria and the Victoria Tang Studio team curated the recent archive exhibition “A Journey of Rediscovery - 30 Years of Shanghai Tang” held at PMQ, Hong Kong.
As a core event of the inaugural Hong Kong Fashion Fest, the exhibition explored the brand’s evolution, blending archival treasures with cutting-edge digital technology in collaboration with Fabrix.
The exhibition took guests on a sensory journey through the brand’s history, starting with the Ginger Flower Tunnel, inspired by Shanghai Tang’s signature fragrance that set the stage for its renowned use of scent in branding. The Wall of Fame chronicles the brand’s star-studded clientele and milestones, from its first flagship on Pedder Street in 1994 to its global expansion. Meanwhile, the Cabinet of Curiosities highlights more than 100 exquisite pieces, including leather goods, ready-to-wear collections and Imperial couture, offering a deep dive into the brand’s craftsmanship and motifs.
