THE VOYAGE OF THE DRAGON
– A Year-Long Celebration of Beauty and Prosperity –
Embarking on a creative journey, long-time friends and cultural creative duo Saloni Lodha and Victoria Tang-Owen join forces in a collaborative celebration that will span throughout the Year of the Dragon with various capsule collections.
Launching this Lunar New Year is the first collection titled “The Voyage of The Dragon” which is inspired by hand-painted porcelain, exquisite vases, and the enchanting colour palettes found in ancient Chinese artefacts. The hidden dragon patterns pay homage to the "穿花⻰" (chuan hua long) motif found in Chinese art and decorative arts. This motif captures the graceful movement of a playful dragon dancing amidst a blossoming field of flowers, symbolising lasting prosperity and boundless imagination.
Mirroring the dragon‘s own journey, this year-long celebration creates a sense of anticipation and eagerness for the journey ahead. The dragon playfully appears and disappears, mirroring the changing hues that echo the passing seasons. The colour palette encompasses the shades of summer and spring, featuring Sprout Green (芽绿), Coral Red (珊瑚红), and Spring Plum Blossom Red (春梅红). As the dragon year transitions into the autumn and winter seasons, the collection embraces the serene ambiance with Midnight Green (午夜绿) and Dusk Colour (暗蓝紫).
